LLLLAAAAMMMMMEEEEE not to be confused with Llamas!

I know I've been soooo LAME and not updating my "blog", but I honestly can't muster up the energy to talk about myself and whats going on. Hmmmmm.... Lets see if I can pull something out of my brain. You know like Dumbledore does with his wand to extract memories... (doing that now with my pen at my desk).... Okay... Got one! The topic is Bucket Lists.

I have a Bucket List and I have had this list since I was in the 6th Grade. It is documented in my black colored paper journal that I wrote in with colored "Milk" pens. Gosh... I loved those things... (mental note: find journal when I'm home for Christmas) Things have been added to this list and currently I have been checking things off!! Whoop Whoop!!! So to name a few... That are still on there:

1. Surfing- I've done my research and I think that I want to go with the Long Board. I thought my chance to check this puppy off was going to be at my good friend Brittany Price's wedding in Costa Rica, but one look at those waves in Jaco and I was out! They were HUGE!! I will do it though!

2. Sky Diving- This is seriously something I want to do badly. I almost have a passion for completing this one. However, its not just sky diving anywhere and check your done! Nope! Its sky dive in INTERLAKEN, SWITZERLAND. I went to this destination a few years ago, when I was studying abroad and it hands down one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I am not a mountain girl! I'm an Aquarius; get me to a beach and I'm happy. So I found it odd that I loved this place, and even more odd that I loved all the extreme sports that came along with it! I went white water rafting, canyoning and just sleeping in the rooms were a activity themselves! My BIGGEST regret was not sky diving. A couple of people did it and watching their videos made me green with envy. I know that I MUST do this before I die. The views were beyond words!

3. Go to Greece

4. Go to Tahiti and stay in one of those huts like Allie the Bachelorette did or the Muellers haha.

5. Open up my "Store". We have discussed this in a previous post.

6. I know this sounds stupid or silly, but dye my hair Auburn/Brownish. Melinda keeps reminding me each winter that is one of my "to dos" but I am sooo scared!

7. Learn another language.  I'm embarrassed that I do not, and the little bit of sign language and Spanish I know does not count! I want to become almost fluent. My children will definitely be able to speak another language! I'll put them in classes. Fo SHOW!

8. Go to a European Nude Beach and participate. I've been to a nude beach in France, but I was with two guy friends and I thought that may be a little awkward. I'll wait till next time... Hopefully, on my honeymoon. Whenever that is! ha ha!

Those are just a few from my HUGE "Bucket" List! I also think its good for me to share with you things I have crossed, checked, marked etc. off my list.

1. Study Abroad: This accomplishment seriously changed my life and for the better! It gave me a taste for the world and let me know that anything is possible! This trip gave me the passion to want something more for my life and to go out and get it! I know that sounds insane but its what I got from it. Just traveling through London, Rome, Paris, Normandy, Nice and Scotland just to name a few; opened up my eyes and changed me for the better! I loved studying abroad so much I did it twice!! Paying off that student loan is still totally worth it.

2. Karaoke: This one has been a high priority for a long time and this past Spring I marked it off the list. I sang Black Velvet by Alannah Myles in front of about 50 to 60 people!! INSANE!!! Soooo not like me! I am terrified of groups of people! I kind of got into it at the end!! I raised my little fist up and belted out the tunes... I also gave a second performance in front of about 10 co-workers. INSANE!!! Especially, if you know me!

3. Move to New York City: (in the voice of that annoying salsa commercial) This has been my dream ever since I saw Coyote Ugly!! I wanted to move here sooooo bad after I saw that movie and dance of the bars in cowboy boots! Just kidding... but not really hahaha... . It looked so magical and fun! The feeling was even more solidified after watching season after season of Sex and the City. And to my amazement, unfortunate circumstances in my life gave me the opportunity to achieve this one. I seriously never thought I would ever move here and I'm glad I did. I will never have that "What if" feeling. It was a great decision! I'm learning that I am much stronger and braver than I ever thought!

4. Ride a Mechanical Bull: (while wearing a muschatche) I decided I really wanted to ride the bull freshman year at the Kappa Sigma Valentines party, but me being me; I just watched and silently cursed myself out for being such a shy FREAK!!! However, I will say that me and my partner ( I won't name names) won the Flip Cup Competition. So that was a plus of the night. Any who... the other night we had an after party for work for celebrating reaching our Movember Charity goal. Movember is a charity were men grow mustaches and people donate to their page/stache and the money goes towards prostate cancer research. Long story short, we went to a "Southern Themed" bar where there was a mechanical and I rode it twice. If you want to call it that; I basically hoped on and fell off in point five seconds. LAME! But hey! I got a check off my bucket list! I also got a massive disgusting bruise which I still have and its been  like three weeks or so!

5. See/Touch the Pacific Ocean: I did this at my friend Brittany's wedding (mentioned earlier). My dear friend Megan Watts and I had a day date in Jaco, Costa Rica and explored. We went on a little field trip and found the beach. I walked out there and stood shin deep in the Pacific! It was sooo cold, but while we were there it was during their rainy season and all the rain water had trickled down into the ocean and made it extra cold. It is actually my goal to "touch" as many oceans/seas as possible! Mediterranean! Check!!! I swam and went under in Nice, France! There was so much salt in the water you could see it all over your skin when you got out.

Any who, there are just a few things from my "Bucket List" and I will definitely update as I accomplish!

Monster Mash

So just to update y'all; I found  my phone!!! Thank God!! I bee bopped down to Three Steps at 7:00 PM in sponge curlers, Hunter rain boots, yoga paints and a grey military jacket. I looked a hot mess! I convinced myself it was okay  because "its Halloween"  Why soo late to get my phone you ask? Because that's what time they open up on Saturdays! Ummm... Dumbest idea ever! Who opens up at that time? Especially on Halloween weekend when Elmo, Gonzo, Super Heroes, Ga Gas and Chilean Miners are traipsing through the streets of Manhattan. Come on y'all ! Get with the program! Any who, so when I got there I asked the waitress if anyone found a phone or turned one in last night and she says "ummm I haven't seen one"! Come on girl get with the program! Open your horrid eye lined eyes and look!! So she makes a couple laps up and down the bar while checking her nail polish for chips (Midnight in Moscow I believe) and says "Well, if it was here it be right here. Why don't you give me your number and I'll call you if it turns up?" I look at this broad like "are you serious" (you know the look), and she goes "oohhhh... right." So finally her one brain cell works and she decides to text the girl working last night if she knows anything. So then I finally remember my outfit and notice the three guys at the bar starting at me in confusion. Granted they were dressed up like a Nintendo Controller, the Situation and a blue M&M (bashful blue?). Finally, the brainiac comes back from the back and says "whats the screen saver" and I had to refrain myself from screaming out ESTELLE CHAPPELL! As if it would be anything thing else! DUH! Finally, we were reunited and it felt like Christmas the year I got my Baby Alive!

The rest of the night was good! Gretchen my roommate has a friend in the city that rented out a bar for her Halloween Party! She was sooo sweet and friendly! Erin went as Sandra Dee, Gretchen went as Medusa and I pulled out my good old Hooters costume. We got to the party and found a good sized crowd, and I was pleased. Scored bar stools and scoped out the scene before I took off my trench coat. After my scan of the place I decided to leave on my coat. No one was dressed scandalous at all! We had a girl football player, a kissing booth, Indian, owl and family guy Mom just to name a few. People were like "are you a flasher"  YEP... "Are you a Russian Spy" YOU KNOW IT! hahahaha... Finally, after an avatar girl showed up with her tight blue suit I had my in and dropped the coat! It was a nice time and nice people. After the party we got word there was an after party at this guys parent's apartment on the Upper West Side. So we decided to go for a bit just to check it out. So we get there and its one girl and two guys, one being the boy who lived there and things looked boring/awkward. So we walk in and I took in every view of what a great apartment is supposed to be like in the city. Soooo Jealous!! One day I'll have a nice place! So I of course zero in on a kitty cat scratching post and say show my the kitty. So we finally track down this Monte and I immediately ask "is that a Scottish Fold"? Apartment Boy was immediately shocked!! He could not belive I knew that! Ha Ha Ha! I was quite proud of myself!! I'm down on my cat breads! So after I gave Monte my special kitty scratch we busted out of that joint! We were there for about ten minutes max. So much for an after party!

After that we came home and pounded food and watched SNL before we hit the hay! Halloween 2010 was a success. Next year I was to be this 70s Foxy lady I think. I can't think of her name right now but brown Afro and Metalic gold dress! Score Ola! Can't wait! Only 364 days till next year.

Ohhhhhh and you know how "they" say everything happens in threes? My roomates lost their phones yesterday too! Erin left hers in a cab yesterday afternoon and the cabbie came and returned it with in a few minutes, and Gretch left hers in the cab on the way home last night but she immediately realized it in enough time to catch him. A Halloween coinsidence I say!

Okay, hitting the hay! 6:30 AM comes awfuly early!

The Future dun... dun... dun...

Yesterday at work we had a Halloween Party. Nothing special just beer and candy, but it was fun! Anything to get me away from that desk is a disco tech to me! But any who, after that I came home and ate some dinner and Danielle wanted to grab a drink. So we went to Three Steps which in conveniently right between our apartments!!! So this morning I woke up the WORST THING EVER THAT COULD HAPPEN TO A PERSON!!! I lost my iphone!! I have been up since then having massive anxiety!! What I'm thinking that happened is that I left it at the bar. STUPID! So I have to wait till 7:00 PM when the bar opens to go in and see if its there!!! I am praying the baby Jesus, Mother Mary and every single Saint in Heaven throw me a bone and let me find it!!! There is no way I can go back to a crackBerry! NO WAY!!! I don't think I can handle that!

So to the point of the post!! MY FUTURE! When I decide to leave the city and move back home I'm going to open a candy store!! This candy store will be located in downtown Ocean Springs. This is the cutest town in the entire state of Mississippi! When I was in elementary school kids in my class would sneak out at recess time and go to Candy Cottage to get stuff. I never did of course because I'm a rule follower! I never broke the rules or got in trouble! Go me!! Gold star, and Candy Cottage is boring! No good candy! Its like old people stuff and tastes old.

In my store I will sell homemade cupcakes, candies and pies. These are my favorite things!! I will make this stuff with my own two hands! I believe that everything made by a person and by a person that absolutely loves what they do tastes better! I love cooking and baking; its like therapy to me. It relaxes me and makes me so proud, and nothing is better than someone saying "OMG, that is soooo good!" When someone asks for the recipe it makes my heart go warm. Gold star please! Mission accomplished! Score Ola! Living here in New York City I am getting so many inspirations and ideas for what I want my store to be like. I also know that in the back of my store I am going to have a tea party room for little girls. They can come here for their birthdays and blow it out! There will be trunks filled with hats, dresses, gloves etc. to name a few! NO BOYS ALLOWED! I think it will be hit!

Also, Stells will be the mascot of course! She will come up the store with me and hang out. She'll have a dog bed and all. She may even dress up and join a few birthday tea parties!  So excited! Can't wait! No body better steal my idea either!! If I go home and see my dream stolen I WILL BURN THE PLACE DOWN!! F arson I'll get you!!!

I suppose losing my phone was kind of a good thing. Blogging on a Saturday? Sheesh!

Is it Friday YET????

Soooo.... I have been majorly slacking on my "blogging”!! Ugh... so ashamed!! tisk... tisk... I've just been sooooo busy... Yeah right, nothing is going on. Bored to bits! So while I ponder what to write about that has ".importance", I will leave you with 25 things about me! Inspired by my US Weekly and Justin Beiber (this week's candidate) Here we go... Which is my age!!! O-M-G!! Ironic! ha.. Just kidding obviously!

1. I want to be a flight attendant really BAD!!! I even had a connection with Continental Airlines who set me up with an interview after I graduated from college. Too bad the airlines had lay offs and my dream went down the drain.... I have the whole emergency "skit" memorized.

2.  All through school I would have Chocolate Milk Chugging Contests with my friends at lunch!! I am undefeated! I'm talking from Kindergarten to senior year at Mercy Cross! One... Two... Three... CHUG!! I dominated! I made it my contribution to school spirit and participating in extra curricular activities at school. Since I'm scared of the ball; yes that present tense! Still scared = (

                                                                Dominated...

3. I once swam into a school of Man-of-War... Very painful experience; physically and mentally. After I was pulled up out of the water by my arms and up onto the swimming platform I was met with cups full of beer, meat tenderizer and urine. From my Aunts, Uncles, Mother and Father to name a few... "To get the sting out!"  Vomit... Which reminds me!

4. The first time I ever fainted was at my friend Romig's bachelorette Party. I wanted to get out of the water and in order to do so they had to pull you out of the water by your arms and onto the back deck. Anyway, I hit my shin on the side ledge and it started swelling up soooo fast and looking like an egg under my skin that everyone started staring and pointing at. Uttt ohhhh... Don't like being the center of attention and BAM flat out on the deck! Embarrassing... I bring new meaning to the term hit the deck.

5. I have an obsession with Cheese!! I love love love it!! Sometimes I like to pinch it between my lips so it leaves a small film on them. I feel this brings out more of the "flavor" and then I eat it off. So technically, I get to eat it twice! Yay for me!! And Yay for CHEESE!!

A fine selection of semi-firm fromage!

6. I played with my Barbies till 10th Grade... This also includes House, School and other such games of the imaginary nature! I call this "creativity".

My fave!!! Scarlett !!!"Well Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn"...
7. I am extremely shy! All through school I would just take the F on projects if they involved getting in front of the class and speaking! Especially in my Sex101 class in college! Hell no I am not getting in front of the class to discuss Karma Sutra or Dildos. (Refer to number 4)

8. I hate when people say the word "winder" instead of window. COME ON PEOPLE!!!

9. I love history! I was lucky enough to travel abroad and learn all about World War II right there on the beaches of Normandy. I will never forget it and I am forever grateful to my father for letting me have that experience!

10. I wore glasses till 7th grade. HUGE tortoise shell ones and before that red frames.

11. Almost legally blind! I can't see a thing without my contacts or glasses.

12. I've never broken a bone in my body (knock on wood)

13. I'm super superstitious. Hahhaahah

14.  I was a vegetarian for a short period in my life. From about sixth grade till tenth, not for that traditional reasons either. My mother would ALWAYS cook pork chops and I hated it! So I simply said "I no longer eat meat" the end... Sorry Mom.

15. When I was younger I was obsessed with the movie the Secret Garden. I wanted a secret garden now (in the voice of Baruka from Willy Wonka)! So I decided to make one under the deck behind our house! It was a rather large deck which made the possibility of my secret garden magical.Oh the imaginary game possibilities!!  I could even stand up under there! Any who, I bought seeds and scattered them everywhere like Mary Lennox in the movie, and I would shout "tulips" "lilies" "daffodils" "ferns". After several weeks my Mom asked me why I kept going under there and I told her my "secret". She totally burst my bubble when she told me the seeds couldn't grow because the sun could not reach the seeds under the deck. DUH!!!

16. In High School they always gave out awards at the end of the year for all kinds of things, and I being the non-athletic shy girl I never got anything!! So I decided I would get the attendance award my junior year. I did not miss one day!! Not ONE!!! I would drag myself to school sick, rain or shine! I was there because I wanted an award soooo bad. Well guess What? Per Usual they discontinued the award that year. I waited and waited all through assembly for them to announce the "Perfect Attendance Award" and they never did.

17. At our Senior Awards Banquet I received the "Most Promising Artist" award. I'm still proud of this one. Forget attendance! Whoop Whoop!

18.  I had a pet crawfish the size of a lobster once. Our slutty babysitter Kimmy pulled it out of the ditch behind our house.

                                                       Ohhh Kimmie... BFFs

19. I love to cook! Love it! Currently I am obsessed with Spaghetti Squash! Thanks Romeo! =)

20. The thing that scares me most in the world in not being able to have children. I don't even want to think about it. My grandmother reassures me that we are fertile Chappells hahaha... Hope she right.

21. I love Family History! I love hearing where I came from and all the amazing stories!

22. I'm related to Black Beard the Pirate! He is my great great great great grandfather or something. ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

                                                       I can see the resemblence....

23. My most beloved feline friend Garfield who I had from the age of five till fifteen; had feline AIDS. Meowww poor Kit~TAY! He unfortunately was hit by my dumb neighbor in his rice burner!!! Arse!

24. " I see dead people".... Just ask.

25.  I have a love hate relationship with egg nog... I love it soo much! I will drink cup after cup! I'll bring back my old chuggin skills and dominate people left and  right!! I will sip it through straws!! I will even funnel the stuff! Then after the fun has dissolved... dun... dun... dun... in sets in... the tummy ache. This is such a sweet word for such a terrible feeling! Its hurts so bad! I'd rather be hit in the head with a beer bottle again to escape the pain. Just kidding.

26. For luck =) I believe everything DOES happen for a reason!

No way you cannot have my PIE!!!

My roommate Gretchen has this friend who got a tattoo recently of the pi symbol. I was like ummm why? Is she a mathlete?  She explained the story to me and it makes perfect sense! I am trying to live my life by the "pie" method from here on out. SCORE OLA!!!

Every morning when you wake up you get a fresh baked pie!! Its soooo delicious!! It can be any flavor you want; apple, blueberry, raspberry etc. My pie happens to be blueberry and it tastes amazing with vanilla ice cream on top!! Just to let you know... Any who, as you go through out your day, you carry your pie with you and when someone upsets you or makes you mad you MUST give them a piece of your pie. Umm yeah, I know... Nobody, wants to give up a piece of their delicious (imaginary and fat free) pie to an A hole!

So at the end of the day; when you change into your comfy "TV Watching Clothes" and sit on the couch; you’re allowed to take out your pie and eat it, or what is left of it. The point of this is don't waste your "pie" on things that aren't worth a piece! Don't get mad that your boss took something out on you, your boyfriend rather watch TV with the guys tonight, that someone was making fun of you, talking about you etc. Don't sweat the small stuff.... Decide what is worth a piece of your "pie"...

Becky Bullseye... BAM!!!

When I was in tenth grade a very traumatic event happened one day at school. We were all waiting for the bell to ring after lunch so we could go back to class, and there was this girl who I will call “Becky”. She was in the class below me and she went to the same school as me since I was in 2nd grade at St. Alphonsus. She was very sweet, but she was always doing random stuff, and still does via Facebook. For example, she peed on three girls at recess in the fourth grade! I really don't understand how she accomplished it but she did it! (Gold Star for the day!) Another time, well once a month actually she would stick her used pads on the wall of the bathroom when I was in sixth grade! Disgust~TANG!! That scene has been scarred in to my head and I can never look at light pink tiled wall the same.

VOMIT!!! Just imagine the pads!

Anyway, back to "Becky". On this particular afternoon everyone was in their usual spots waiting for the lunch bell to ring so we could go back to class. Poor old Becky was hanging around the St. Francis of Assisi Rose Garden with her crew, when someone yelled out "Ohhhhh Look at the back of her pants!" We all of course we all turn to look and there it is a huge; and I mean HUGE red stain on her “Khaki Student Apparel” uniform shorts!!! It was horrible!!! I felt soooooo bad for her; fifty kids or so were all laughing and staring! She was laughing too; having no clue what was going on.

It was soo bad! I was about to walk off and go find the teacher "on duty", when my friend Stevie went up to her and whispered in her ear what "the situation" was. She was mortified and ran into the bathroom. I really admired my friend Stevie for doing that. I wish I had the guts to do it. When he walked back over he was like "What?!?!? I have two sisters! I couldn’t let her walk around like that!"  So sweet!

A few months go by and my little brother and I are sitting in the "futon room" watching Happy Days with the "Fonz" because my parents were downstairs watching something scary on T.V.  Yes, we were whips... and I still am! Mind you my little brother is only three years younger than I, and we were at the same school at the time of the incident mentioned before. He turns to me and he says "I'm scared to get my period". I'm stunned at this statement. Shocked!! Can’t breathe!! Seeing Stars!!  I don't know what I should say or where I should go with it? So I of course say "Why are you scared?" He proceeds to tell me he doesn't want to "start" at school and have everyone laugh at him like they did "Becky" and that he does not want to use Tampons. I am flabber gasted at this! I HAVE NO WORDS!!! I tell him I will be right back and run down stairs and tell them the worries of my dear kid brother! My mother tells my father that he MUST give him "the talk"!! He is in 8th Grade and does not need to be worrying about Tampons etc... So my Dad comes upstairs later that night and hands my brother "The Book".  The End… No talk.

I still wonder how long it took my brother to figure out he didn't need to worry about his monthly visitor, Aunt Flow!

To "bang" or not to "bang"? That is the question!

Tomorrow, I am getting my first haircut since January and I'm quite nervous about it. Well not nervous but more undecisive I would say. I really really really want to cut my bangs back. I had them about two-three years ago and I loved them!! However,  I just finally grew them out and I can't decide if I should cut them back. I've had mixed reviews about them as well, and I would say its tied 50/50! I also want to dye my hair an auburn brownish color. I know that I will never grow the balls to do that, but maybe just maybe I will do it!

So what do you think? Should I bang or not?

Rain... Rain... Go AWAY!!!

Good afternoon people! I'm blogging again to make up for the super sad morning one =(

So it has been raining here since Sunday!!! It’s making me sooo crazy! I get two breaks a day at work to get away from the desk and do whatever I please for fifteen minutes. Usually I make phone calls to my family and friends during this time and now I have to go sit at my "other desk" due to the rain. Which I can't talk on the phone at because I feel like everyone can hear me! Let me back up and explain "other desk" real quick.

I sit at the front reception desk and control the switchboard, run the cafe (of life!!) and take care of the usual everyday receptionist tasks.  I also help out our office manager with invoices and whatever she needs help with.  On top of that, I have two executives that I help assist and handle their schedules or whatever they need as well. Here are a few pictures from my reception desk...

This is the view looking out towards the Cafe (of life!). Notice the oh so magical Coy Fish Tank. These little suckers are insane! I have seen them replaced three separate times! Something happens and they go crazy (aka get "sick") One jumped straight out of the tank and landed flat on the floor! (The thud heard around the office) One of our guests picked him up and tossed him back in with her bare hands! Thank God, I did not want to have to touch this "sick" fish. Another time, A-Rod (R.I.P.) would splash this one guy every time he would walk by. I loved it! Unfortunately, when those fishy games started they all had to go to the "Medicated Tank" aka the Hudson River. So now were on batch three and they are two grand a pop! (Per fish) In my opinion they should just buy Carp, but what do I know.

This is another view from my reception desk and there you can see our weekly flowers we order that I pretend are for me! This week we are taking a trip to Hawaii it seems!!! Aloha~

When I am not at my "reception desk" I am at my other desk that is closer to my "execs" and I hate it!!! It is your everyday run of the mill cubicle and I am not fond of this space because every one can hear me and see me. I dunno, maybe if it had a little roof I would like it much better. However, this also is not your everyday cube. It comes with its own magical pranking Leprechaun, or someone is playing jokes or someone HATES me. Ha Ha. I will go to my desk and find weird things placed there that do not belong. Baskets, cases of water, lamps, boxes, and I can keep going. Today, on my break I walk up to find THIS scene!!!

Count them!!! One... Two.... THREE!!!! office chairs slammed into my "cube" like this is the Panhellenic Parking Lot!!! Ughhhhhhh soooo annoying!! This has been going on for months!! Not to sure who is doing this, but I plan to get to the bottom of it... So rain... rain... go away its making people nuts!!! CLEARLY!!!  And if it is that Leprechaun his days are numbered!!!

Not a very happy post... (skip if you don't want to be saddened)

Sorry for not blogging yesterday... It ended up being a very busy day of ups and downs. So today on my way to the "Sexy Six Train" that takes me to work; I was listening to my iPod of life... (This is a phrase I like to add on to things now. For example, when I tell people at work they have a guest waiting in the cafe; I have to hold myself back from saying "in the cafe of life"! Soooo odd. A bean burrito of life?) Any who, so I'm bee bopping along and one of my old favorite songs comes on and it’s "Two Daughters and a Beautiful Wife" by Drive by Truckers, and it got me all upset. By the time I made it to go underground I was crying like a little baby! I just thought I would share with you the story behind this emotional song.

Patterson Hood wrote the song about a family he knew that was murdered on New Year's Day in Richmond, Virginia. The house was set on fire and the family was found murdered in the basement. Which included the Father, Bryan Harvey; his beautiful wife Kathryn and their two daughters Ruby and Stella. The murderers confessed and were convicted. The part where he sings "there were flowers round the front, where everybody cried" is Kathryn's toy store called World of Mirth. I don’t know... Such a sad story and sorry for being a downer but it is good that people hear there story and remember them!

Here is a live performance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVDApenIzAA

Here are the Lyrics...

When he reached the gates of heaven
He didn’t understand
He knew that folks were coming over
Or was it all a dream?
Was it all a crazy dream?

He saw them playing there before him
What were they doing there?
It felt like home, It must be alright
Or is it just a dream?
Is it just a crazy dream?

Memories replay before him
All the tiny moments of his life
Laying round in bed on a Saturday morning
Two daughters and a wife
Two daughters and a beautiful wife

Meanwhile on Earth his friends came over
Shocked and horrified
Dolls and flowers at the storefront
Everybody cried
Everybody cried and cried

Is there vengeance up in heaven?
Are those things left behind?
Maybe everyday is Saturday morning
Two daughters and a wife
Two daughters and a beautiful wife
Two daughters and a beautiful wife

A day in Battery Park, but where are the batteries?

Today is just one of those typical Fridays... Bored watching the clock tic down or up or which ever way it goes. However, today is not our typical Friday at work. Today we are having a company picnic!! I'm really excited because this means the office closes at 12:30 PM and we get FREE FOOD!! I have learned since living here that there is nothing better than free food! Unfortunately this is NOT good for my dieting. Hence me eating two huge cupcakes, a large cookie and a fudge brownie yesterday! Can't turn down free food... kind of makes me sounds like a hobo! Are those McDonalds fries in the trash? YES!!! Ha just kidding!! I would NEVER!!! Any who, at 12:30 the entire office is leaving and heading down to Battery Park! It will be my first outing to this park and I’m quite pleased about it. It’s my roommate’s favorite park in the city. At the park we are going to mingle, eat, drink and play games... Yes, GAMES... dun... dun... dun... When I got the Evite a month or so ago my eyes zeroed in on that word (games) and I had a minor anxiety attack. Brought back "fond" memories from elementary school and the day most kids looked forward to all year long. Field Day. (vomit) You probably know it well and you were probably one of those coordinated kids that dominated the three legged race, the rope climb, the 50 yard dash, tug of war and my personal favorite; the potato sack race. Unfortunately, I came home every year on that hot day in May will all yellow ribbons (Honorable Mention aka Horrible Mention) pinned to my yellow St. Alphonsus field day shirt along with bruises, cuts, scrapes and a bruised ego. No wonder I hate that color... also looks horrid with my hair color. Anyway, back to the point. I have been stalking everyone at work planning this picnic to find out what these games are! I've asked the planners, the office manager, the interns; pretty much everyone and they all say "it’s a surprise"!! Ummmm... I don't like surprises like that! Sure give me a car, a bracelet, a vacation trip to China (thank you The Last Mr. Bigg) whatever, but if it involves sports count me out.  Thankfully my work friend Santos gave me the low down! I used the "I already know" tactic and it worked like a charm! So we are going to meet in the cafe at 12:30 and split up into teams and we will have a "scavenger hunt" to Battery Park. Teams with the most pictures of whatever the clues are wins... Reminds me so much of Phi Mu Sisterhood retreats in New Orleans.  Which reminds me of vomiting on the side of the highway on the way down there! This is not looking good y’all!! Then when we get the park we will have an egg toss/race and play CORN HOLE!!! Whoop Whoop!! I have just recently become obsessed with corn hole; thanks to Scotty to Hottie aka Scott Zingery. When I went to Charlotte three weeks ago we played NON STOP! I am terrible, but I'll randomly have some good throws! So all and all I’m a little relaxed about the events that will take place today! I don't think I’ll be getting hurt by any of these "sports". Phew....... 1... 2.... 3....... Breathe.

Wish me luck y'all!!! I'll let ya know how it goes!

Better late than never...

So I am just 18 days shy of hitting my one year mark living in the "Captial of the World".  I wish that I would have started doing this when I first got here, but like I said "better late than never". I really have no clue what I want this blog to be about yet... I know it will be something.... Hopefully something meaningful and inspiring. So until I figure it out; I suppose I will write about my day to day experieces in New York City!

Here we go... Ummmmm.... This is awkward. I don't really know what to say. I guess I will start with my domain name? Estelle Chappell... She is my heart!! She is my three year old Pug that I got in Hattiesburg, Mississippi! She seriously is hands down the most amazing dog I have ever met and many will agree. She is sooo loving and full of personalitly that is sometimes eerie. She is someone reborn into a dog! Seriously, if you met her you would see her "human tendencies" and her amazing heart and know that she is not your regular every day canine. Estelle is rather overwieght and it has become a major problem here for us in the city. When I first moved up here I did not bring Estelle with me. She stayed with my mother in Ocean Springs, Mississippi where she was fed every thing in the WORLD. She got fed in the morning, had many doggie treats through out the day, and ate HUMAN FOOD on the REG!!!! Ultimately weighing in at a solid 25 lbs in the right corner. She moved up here in January and her life changed. I would say she is now at a much better 20lbs and looking good! However, this does not satisfy these insane New Yorkers!! They comment left and right about her weight! That I should get her some help! Bla Bla Bla.... Like duh people don't you think I know that?! Thats why we are out here walking the streets!!! What do you want me to do? Get dog liposuction you creeps? Seriously, I do not understand where people get off putting their two cents in when its clearly not needed! If I made a comment about everyone else's dogs like people do to us, I would be shot! Dead... bam... Ewww your dog has three legs!! Ewwww your dogs eyes are sick!! Like serously people follow the rule you learned in kindergarden "if you don't have anything nice to say; then don't say anything at all"! Phewwww.... I feel better now!  But on a brighter note! She is losing weight and we have become frequenters of our local dog parks.

Have a great day y'all!
